Food Pantry Donations: for the month of May, we will be collecting any canned good.
Food Pantry: We will be serving the food pantry Saturday, June 6^th at 6:30 AM. Please come out and help us serve if you can.
Guest Preacher: Tyler Smith will be preaching for us on Pentecost Sunday, May 24^th. Tyler is originally from Siler City, NC, and holds a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University. He is ordained in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship tradition and comes to us with high praise from Rev. Dr. Robert Brewer.
Appointment Update: Pastor Haley will be returning to Star for her third year of ministry. She will also transition to Trinity UMC in Troy, NC starting July 12, 2026. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Community Callander:

Kid Fishing Day: May 30th, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, rain or shine at the Badin Lake Recreation area; Kings Mountain Point day use area. Kids up to 16 years old fish no license required. Hot dogs and drinks will be available as long as supplies last. This is an event Hosted by Uwharrie National Forest, NC Wildlife commission, and Little River NWTF. Sip & Fellowship: The Star Heritage Committee will be offering coffee in the park the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM until they run out at the Star Park.
Ellerbe Dinner Church: Every Wednesday night at 6:00 PM in the EFUMC Fellowship Hall.
