About Our Church
Star UMC's history began in the 1860s as a log cabin church called "Bethlehem" near present-day Star, NC, later moving to the village in 1885 to become "Star UMC". The second wooden church building was replaced by the current brick structure, and the congregation continued to grow, forming its first Woman's Missionary Society in 1898.Our Mission & Vision
